I have a fabulous suggestion for you. A few months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer Earle and going on a half day guided tour of some of London's best chocolate shops. If you are a chocolate lover, then this is definitely a decadent experience that you don't want to miss.
Jennifer's company Chocolate Ecstasy Tours offers half day and full day chocolate tours of London and she can also cater for hen parties and private events.
With the half day tour, you'll meet Jennifer and the rest of your group in St. James and Jennifer will present you with a bag that has a variety of little goodies including chocolate (of course!) from shops that aren't on the tour, a bottle of water and one very delicious brownie.
Our tour kicked off at Prestat where I fell in love with these gorgeous milk chocolate wafers with ground cinnamon. (Did I mention that I been back three times since my tour to buy more?!)
We then headed over to Fortnum & Mason where Jennifer gave us an overview of some of the different kinds of chocolate bars, but there's not much time to shop as there are more chocolate shops to visit such as the glamorous La Maison du Chocolat where you'll find only the very best ganache and dark chocolate.
We visited at least six different chocolate shops as Jennifer led our group from St. James to Marylebone with a stop in the middle for....yes, you guessed it...hot chocolate! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this tour. The shop owners and attendants are delighted to have you visit and they go out of their way to tell you about their history, brand, specialties and of course, let you sample their delicious chocolates.
If you are a chocolate lover and are looking for a unique day out in London, then I strongly recommend Chocolate Ecstasy Tours. Jennifer is delightful, personable and fun. I guarantee you won't want to miss out on this unique experience.

Let's talk about something really important: Chocolate. In honor of my birthday week, I've decided to name a few of favorite places to indulge yourself.
Visit any of these places and you'll feel like you're in Belgium minus the train ride on the Eurostar and the time off week. You can think of it as a quick mid-week pick me up like I do. And in the case of fine chocolate, less is definitely more at least that is what I keep telling myself.
1. L'Artisan du Chocolat - How to describe? Hmmm, L'Artisan du Chocolat is basically the Rolls Royce of Chcolate. Smart little shop close to Sloan Square filled with very delicate and beautiful ganache filled chooclates, among many, many others. Something a little unique is that you can book yourself on a chocolate tasting in their atelier in Kent and learn more about the fine art of chocolate making.
