10 Reasons to Visit Marylebone High Street

Marylebone High Street is absolutely one of my favourite places to go shopping so I am always surprised when I meet people who are not familiar with this shopping mecca. Marylebone High Street has this great village feel and a particularly nice selection of food, clothing and home ware shops.

1. Brissi
Great furniture, mirrors, accessories and frames. Lots of white, silver and crystal throughout give the shop a very glamorous feel.

2.Aveda speaks for itself. I like to stock up on hair products, sample lotions and creams. Rosemary Mint Shampoo and Shampure are two of my favourites.

3. L'Artisan Parfumeur is a beautiful shop with original fragances and scents, unique gifts

4. Neal's Yard Remedies are available all over London but the Marylebone High Street shop is quite new. If you are not familiar with Neal's Yard Remedies, they offer lots of natural remedies, aromatherapy and massage oils. The Marylebone High Street Shop also has treatment rooms which offer services such as allergy testing, reflexology and massage.

1. The Hummingbird Bakery - My favorite bakery is doing so well that they are opening another location in South Kensington in March 2007. I adore their red velvet cake, which I should say is perfect for Valentine’s Day.

2. Books for Cooks – The perfect place to get inspired. This tiny little bookshop has a HUGE selection of cookbooks, a café and offers of number of cooking classes in their workshop. No wonder this place always smells so good.

3. The Spice Shop - Across the street from Books for Cooks, you’ll be able to find just about any spice from any recipe you find over at Books for Cooks. With over 2,500 products available, The Spice Shop is the only of its kind in London.

5. The Ladbroke Arms – If you're feeling hungry and don’t know where to eat, the Ladbroke Arms is one of the best gastropubs I’ve found in Notting Hill.

7. The Ledbury – The Ledbury isn’t so much a must stop spot as it is a ‘must make reservations’ in order to stop spot. The Ledbury is a high quality restaurant with beautiful décor and an excellent tasting menu. If I made a top ten list of restaurants in London, The Ledbury would definitely make this list.
